Paul Larbey - General Manager
Paul joined Velocix from Alcatel-Lucent shortly after completion of the acquisition. Prior to Velocix, Paul headed up the Next Generation Mobile Access Unit within Alcatel-Lucent's Wireless Networks Product Division where he was responsible for the management, development and delivery of LTE and WiMAX product lines.
Previously, Paul has held an number of product strategy & offer management, systems engineering and development positions including Vice President W-CDMA Business Development & Strategy and Director of UMTS Portfolio Management for Lucent Technologies' Mobility Solutions Group.
Paul started his career in software development and pre/post Sales Support with Cray Communications and joined Lucent Technologies in 1996 to work on spread spectrum based systems. Paul is based out of Cambridge, UK and holds a first class degree in Electronics from the University of Durham, England
Peter Beecroft - VP, Product Line Management
Peter joined Velocix from Alcatel-Lucent immediately after completion of the acquisition. Prior to Velocix, Peter contributed to the strategy group for Internet Protocol Division (IPD) at Alcatel Lucent where he was jointly responsible for the initiative which led to the Acquisition of Velocix.
Since, 2001 Peter has held a number of product strategy, product management, architecture, Technical pre-sales and solution deployment roles at iMagicTV, Alcatel and Alcatel Lucent.
Peter started his career as a Technical Pre-Sales Consultant at a Cambridge based computer company, and has progressed his Telecommunications and Media career through Ionica and BskyB in the UK . Peter is based out of Cambridge, UK
Anthony Berkeley, VP EMEA and APAC Business Development
Anthony Berkeley leads the EMEA and Asia Pacific business development and Global Marketing team for Velocix, where he is responsible for engaging and developing new opportunities for the Velocix product portfolio. He also leads the Velocix Marketing team, positioning Velocix as the market leader in digital media delivery solutions.
Prior to this Anthony had leading roles in Alcatel-Lucent’s Wireless business including Head of Next Generation Mobile Access Strategy team and Director of Global LTE marketing and strategy for Alcatel-Lucent. Anthony has held various positions over the years, including leading the Global 3G business case consulting team, head of IMS customer solutions for EMEA and as leading the WCDMA business strategy team. Anthony, as a result of his experiences, possesses a great deal of knowledge and experience gained from working with both fixed and mobile operators in understanding the needs and the challenges operators face in the broadband world.
Tony Martin - VP, Engineering
After graduating with an MSc in signal processing Tony has worked in the development of complex products in a diverse range of industries including defence, industrial, telecoms and medical.
Tony joined ALU in 1992 (then AT&T) and spent 10 years in GSM standards, fixed wireless and 3G systems and network engineering before leaving in 2001 to lead the development of disruptive technologies in a number of start up companies.These included a broadband wireless mesh system, genetic algorthm based telecoms network planning tools, inventory system migration and a networked diabetes management system.
Tony returned to Alcatel-Lucent in January 2013 to lead R&D in the video business.
Andrew Cummings - VP, Business Operations
Andrew joined Velocix in July 2011 from Alcatel-Lucent. Prior to Velocix, Andy was the Strategic Pricing & Licensing Director within the Alcatel-Lucent Wireless Networks Product Division where he was responsible for setting up innovative and unique commercial pricing strategies tailored for specific customers and opportunities for all wireless technologies.
Previously, Andy held a number of management roles including Senior Manager of the Advanced Tendering Team in the newly merged Alcatel-Lucent, prior to the merger he held a number of wireless pre sales roles as well as leading the UMTS Portfolio Strategy and Business planning team.
Andrew started his career serving for 12 years as a Telecoms Technician in the British Army Royal Corps of Signals. After leaving the Army, Andy joined Motorola in 1992 working in various Product Management roles.
Bob Lindsey - VP, Operations
Bob has a long and successful track record in senior operations roles and brings tremendous experience in infrastructure and customer service to Velocix.
Prior to joining Velocix, Bob was CTO and VP Global Operations at Madge, Managing Director at Ionica, and Engineering & Operations Director at Cognito.
Bob has a first class B.Sc (hons) in Computer and Communication Engineering from Essex University.
Wayne Griffiths - VP, Technical Consulting and Sales Support
Wayne is responsible for the consulting team in Velocix, who are primarily involved in customer engagements to support the successful definition, implementation, and ongoing optimization of Velocix technology and solutions.
Wayne joined Velocix prior to its acquisition by Alcatel-Lucent, and has a wealth of knowledge and experience providing content delivery and integration services to content owners and network operators alike. Prior to joining Velocix, Wayne was the Technical Director as Search Technologies. As a founding employee of the company, he oversaw all technical activities (Pre-Sales, Professional Services, Customer Support), contributing to the growth of the company to its position as the leading supplier of text and media based search solutions in the world.
He has held a number of other consulting roles, developing pure consulting skills alongside a broad range of technical experience and know-how. Wayne understands the fine balance that needs to be found in deploying technical solutions successfully, blending technical capabilities and business drivers to exceed project objectives and deliver exceptional results.
Bruce McNaughton - VP, Americas Business Development
Bruce is the head of business development for the Velocix Video Networks Group in the Americas Region. He is responsible for supporting the sales teams in positioning the Velocix CDN to Telco, Cable, and ISP service provides. Bruce brings more than 18 years of experience in the telecommunications industry to his role, and hasspent the last 12 years developing and deploying IP video solutions, including serving as Alcatel-Lucent’s chief video architect on AT&T’s Project Lightspeed. Bruce has held senior positions in business development for Alcatel-Lucent’s IP Professional Services and IPTV Design Services.
