Velocix Storage Appliances facilitate the creation of a resilient digital object repository. Velocix Storage Appliances allow for pre-publishing and on-net hosting of digital content, ensuring immediate availability and rapid distribution to delivery appliances across the network.
The recommended minimum configuration is three storage nodes spread across different PoP locations interconnected via multi-gigabit links.
Digital objects are chunked into pieces for distribution via advanced multi-source distribution protocols. This approach provides a highly scalable and efficient method for distributing multi-GB files. Velocix Storage Appliances come pre-loaded with Velocix Storage Software and include a 1-year annual license to use.
